Westchester is home. Our shop is in White Plains, and the majority of our projects are within a thirty-minute drive of it. We know the housing stock across this county well — the pre-war colonials and Tudors along the Sound Shore, the Victorians and early colonials of the river villages, and the post-war ranches and split-levels north of the parkways. Each one asks for a different approach, and each municipality has its own building department and review process. We handle all of it in-house, including the permits.
Ormeno General Construction holds Connecticut home improvement contractor registration and works throughout lower Fairfield County. The Connecticut building code differs from New York’s, and every municipality runs permit review on its own schedule. Both are handled in-house, so your project moves forward without you managing the paperwork. Homeowners in Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, and Westport expect the same standard of finish and communication our Westchester clients receive, and that is what we deliver.
Our artisans specialize in a wide range of interior and exterior work, including kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, home renovation and custom carpentry, deck construction and repair, and demolition and junk removal.
Regularly. We carry the insurance levels most White Plains buildings require and can issue certificates naming the corporation and the managing agent. Give us the alteration agreement at the estimate so we can price the building’s requirements rather than guessing at them.
It changes the schedule. Same-day material runs, easier punch list closeout, and no travel time built into the estimate. Our shop is at 744 Mamaroneck Avenue.
We handle them. Our team files with your building department, coordinates inspections, and closes out the permit upon completion. That final step matters — an open permit without a recorded sign-off can create complications years later when a property goes to closing.
Review timelines vary across the county. Some building departments issue permits within approximately two weeks, while municipalities requiring zoning, wetlands, or architectural review board approval may take up to two months, as those boards meet on monthly schedules. We provide a realistic timeline for your municipality when we scope your project.
Yes. This work is common in White Plains, Yonkers, and Stamford. Buildings of this type typically require board approval, certificates of insurance naming the association, and adherence to restrictions on work hours and elevator access. We manage that documentation and build the approval period into your project schedule.
Yes. We provide free in-home and virtual consultations anywhere we work, and every estimate is delivered in writing rather than as a verbal range.
Exterior work in our climate is concentrated between April and October, so decks, porches, and exterior painting book furthest in advance. Interior projects offer greater year-round flexibility. Homeowners planning a spring or summer exterior project are best served by contacting us during the winter months.
Very likely. The towns above are where we work most frequently, not the limits of our service area. If your home is in Westchester County or lower Fairfield County, call us and ask.
Every estimate begins at your home, at no cost and with no obligation. Here is how it works:
